Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a difficult period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
It is the player's first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
Victory also means Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his skill to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play assertively, reinforced by an better serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
He rescued four early break points in a tight final set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
